Rover K Series – High Tensile Head Bolts

The Rover K Series engine has been plagued with a dreaded Head Gasket Failure issue (or HGF) since it was first released in 1988. Since then, many products have been released to improve the reliability of the engine.

One of those new products are the high tensile head bolts. Initially developed for the N Series engine, these bolts have a higher tensile rating of 10.9 compared to the original bolts that were 9.8.

Used along side the uprated oil ladder and the new head gaskets to provide a better seal between the head and the block.

These bolts are a genuine MG Rover part. Part number WAM2293 and are sold as a set of 10 bolts.
